No longer do you need to accept only what other store has available. You can choose from over 100 different finishing combinations. From custom matched stains to paint and stain combinations. Distressed and aged finishes to glazing the choices are endless.
Here at Naked Furniture, we have a unique 7 step process that we use on every piece of furniture to give you the long lasting beauty that you expect.
Step One: Your furniture is disassembled ,as much as is necessary and sanded to prepare the surface for staining.
Step Two: Your selected stain color is hand applied and hand wiped to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
Step Three: After the stain has dried, a coat of sealer is sprayed onto your new furniture. This helps protect the piece and sets the color. This is called the seal coat.
Step Four: Once the sealer has cured, the piece is hand sanded to provide a smooth surface for the next step.
Step Five: A layer of clear coating is now sprayed onto your piece. This will further protect the wood and begin to give a depth to the finish. This is called the smooth coat.
Step Six: Once again the entire piece is hand sanded with very fine grit sandpaper. This helps remove any irregularities from the last step and prepare the surfaces for their final coat.
Step seven: A final clear coat layer is sprayed onto the piece to give it the final sheen and luster. This is called the finish coat. Dining tables get two more layers of clear coat.
